A little bit about me.....
I graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in Biology and Enviromental Conservation. While I still adore science and am deeply devoted to the environment, I looked around at my employment opportunities I realized that an office job wasn't really what I wanted. I am so happy to have found massage! It has enabled me to have the lifework and lifestyle that I envisioned.
I love meeting new clients, hearing their stories and then working with them to carve out a new path toward healing and vibrant health. Massage has proved a way for folks to begin to reconnect with their bodies and their body's wisdom. I know that probably sounds "new-agey and woo-woo" but, really, its the truth. There is 2.5 million years of evolution that went into our bodies. Our bodies know what they need to feel good, all we have to do is listen and take responsibility. When this happens I find my clients are more likely to eat better, move more and get better sleep. Massage can truly be a first step toward making lifestyle changes that support health and longevity.
Vashon is such a wonderful place. I grew up on the island and now my husband and I are raising two strong daughters here. We love few things more than watching them play sports or perform in a local theatre or musical production. We go backpacking in the summer and enjoy cross-country skiing in the winter. My other pursuits inlcude running, swimming, cooking and gardening. I grow food, of course, but my love right now are flowers!
